Top of the table clash!
Thornton Hibs arrive at Blairwood tomorrow for what could be one of the most important
clashes of the season. Both teams go into the game unbeaten in the current campaign
and a close game is expected. The teams have not met in a league fixture for over 3
years however they clashed last year in the East of Scotland cup where the Hibs went
through after a penalty shoot out. We hope to see a big home support come out to cheer

A Colin Mullen hatrick helped Oakley continue their title charge winning 5-1 away at

Fancy a flutter on Oakley?
Anyone wanting to back Oakley United for the Scottish Cup will get crazy odds of 200/1.
Worth a few quid I would say, especially with those odds. Our first round opponents
Sunnybank are slightly more fancied at 66-1!

The club will shortly be placing an order for Oakley United Club scarves. I can assure all
that they will be reasonably priced and will make a fantastic Christmas or birthday gift.

Oakley continue their Central league promotion charge away to Newburgh Juniors on
Saturday KO 2:30. Again we hope to take a good travelling support. Anybody that would
like to go and needing transport. Please contact me.

Re-live some of the high points of last Season
It might have been a season that ultimately ended with relegation to the Central league,
but the incredible improvement in the team since Stevie Kay and his team arrived is
there for all to see in the following two clips of highlights. The first link shows our 3-2
home win against Newtongrange Star whilst the second clip shows our 2-1 win at home
to Musselburgh. This was doubly impressive as a couple of months before they
thrashed us 6-0 at Olivebank! Look out for a super strike by striking sensation Lee
Celantano in the first game.
Incidentally, both Newtongrange and Musselburgh were both promoted to the Super
League!

King wonder goal gives Oakley the 3 points!
A great solo goal by young left back Chris King was enough to give Oakley all the points

Oakley Get Home tie in the Emirates Airline Scottish Junior
Cup
For the first time in a number of years Oakley United have finally been handed a
home first round tie against Aberdeen outfit Sunnybank. The tie will take place on
the 3rd October at 3.00 pm.
Attention turns to Kirkcaldy
Oakley welcome Kirkcaldy YM to Blairwood Park this Saturday KO 2.30. After our
free scoring exploits of last Saturday, United expect a much tougher fixture
against a fellow promotion rival. We hope to see a big home support
